It depends on your paid lessons, cancellations, admin time, running costs and tax reserve. This calculator shows the amount left after those things, not just your advertised lesson price.

Should I include unpaid cancellations?

Yes. Add the percentage of lessons that usually cancel or leave a gap. If you charge for late cancellations, set this to zero for those lessons.

What counts as admin time?

Bookings, reminders, payment chasing, rescheduling and the other work around lessons that still takes your time.

Does this include tax and National Insurance?

Accepted Answer

It uses one simple tax reserve percentage. It does not model tax bands or National Insurance, so it is an estimate rather than tax advice.
